Criteria and Requirements

Nominee Criteria:

  • Nominees must be women who have taken coursework or received a degree from Texas A&M University.
  • Achievements may be those made during the woman’s time at A&M or since her graduation. Student achievement may include excellence in academics; leadership, mentoring or other student activities; athletics; the creative arts; or other curricular or extra-curricular activities.
  • Former student achievement may include excellence in career, family, community service, or other areas.

Emphasis is given to accomplishments that have had an impact on future generations of Aggie Women. Awards may be awarded posthumously.

Nomination Requirements:

Nominations must provide the nominee’s name, class year, address, telephone, and email information (as applicable). Nominations must also include a 500-word minimum narrative explaining contributions or achievements made by the nominee.

Nominations for the 2013 Women’s Legacy Award will be accepted May 1, 2013 – August 1, 2013 and you may click on the link below to find the online nomination form. Self-nominations are welcome.
