Aggie Women Mission
The mission of the Women Former Students’ Network shall be to enhance the excellence of Texas A&M University by promoting the active engagement of women in the educational, charitable, and cultural life of the institution. The mission shall be witnessed through increased engagement of women former students in academic, research and service activities; through their expanded role as mentors of current women students, and future generations of women students; and through their increased philanthropic ties to the university and The Association of Former Students. In the representation of its membership and in all its activities, the Network shall strive to value and promote inclusiveness and diversity.
A Message from the President
Howdy! It is a privilege and an honor to serve the Aggie Women organization. As a board, we are very excited about the opportunities in front of us in 2017 and beyond.
Aggie Women is a community of women who are seeking opportunities to reconnect with Texas A&M University. Thank you if you are already a supporter of Aggie Women. Your ongoing support is critical to the sustainability of our mission. If you are not already a member, you are invited to join us as part of the Aggie family. Our focus is on helping make connections, giving back to the University and recognizing women previously and currently affiliated with Texas A&M for their leadership and contributions.
Whether you can offer your time, personal gifts or resources, your contributions are appreciated. Please check out the many programs that are in progress at our updated website, such as Aggie Women partnering with student organizations through our JumpStart mentoring program, Aggie Experts sharing expertise with students in the classroom or with other Aggie women and First Thursday events featuring guest speakers and held monthly at the Messina Hof Winery in Bryan/College Station.
There are so many outstanding Aggie Women. We celebrate some of them as part of our mission through the Legacy Awards and will be honoring them at our leadership conference planned for late April this year. Giving back to the University is core to our mission. Through generous donations and fundraising, we currently sponsor two endowed Presidential Scholarships. These scholarships provide the resources for two deserving students to help them reach their full potential while studying at Texas A&M. This would not be sustainable without the support of our extended community.
Should you have ideas or interests in supporting Aggie Women network, please send a note or inquiries to Info@AggieWomen.org.
Thank you for being a part of our community. Your contributions will pay it forward to a new generation of Aggie Women. Without you, we are a small group of dedicated individuals with common interests. With you, we are a network who can make an amazing difference!
